Hello! My name's Tahnee Gehm. I am the webmaster of this website. Over the years and due to this website, I have heard from other girls alllll around the world named Tahnee, and I'm still suprised to see how many new ones contact me! I love to draw; www.tahnee.org is my online portfolio. I am currently pursuing an AA in Illustration. I've been drawing ever since I could handle chalk. As far as music goes, I've played the violin since I was 5, and the piano since I was 8. I also enjoy creative writing. Of course, I also like to have fun just chilling with friends, be it at school or at home. I live in southern California. Other fun hobbies of mine are animation (be it stop-go or hand-drawn into a computer) and photography. I studied ASL (American Sign Language) for four years. The Name Tahnee has so many different meanings specifically in Osage Indian it means "Deer(Tah)-Soup(Nee)", Native Americans would give it to the provider of the tribe, In another native tongue it means "Queen of Kindness". I learned this from a person who speaks Osage fluently(My culture Class Teacher). Ok about me, I was born in ALaska but now I live in Oregon, I am a Junior in High school and I am involved with the competing choir at my school, I'm in Theatre, I am a memeber of many of my chool's clubs more specifically I am apart of my school's travelers club and so I'm going to Greece, Hungary, and another country next year. Urban Legend has it LOL according to my mother that she knew Raquel Welch before she was famous. My mother was working at a Hotel, I believe was in La Jolla, Ca and knew Raquel before she was famous. The story goes, Raquel was waiting for her boyfriend/date to get off of work, he was the bellboy, and my mother and she were watching an old indian movie while Raquel waited. They both saw a movie with a girl named Tahnee and said they would name their first daughter after that girl in the movie. My mother has since passed. But I have always loved the story. Just like some of you young girls I didn't care for my name growing up, but as you get older, maybe even now, I get so many complements. It catches people's attention!
